Blood bowl black orc team2/28/2024 I'd also reduce the number of regular Blorcs to 0-4, for balance purposes, and reduce their cost to 85k. Kicking a Goblin around the field without having to worry about stupidity or getting eaten would be a real asset, as would getting Passing skills as a Primary. These guys train the Goblins up into Bruisers. Primary GS, Secondary AP.Ġ-1 Runt Wrangler: 90k, 4 4 4+ 5+ 10+ Kick, Kick Team-Mate. To that end, a few new and more specialized positionals would help.Ġ-2 Black Orc Blitzer: 100k, 5 4 4+ 5+ 10+ Brawler, Juggernaut. They're supposed to be a slow, bashy "elite greenskin" team, and I would like to keep it that way. I'd like to update them in ways that are very fluffy. I think they EITHER could have made it harder RNG to get stat increases OR change the inducement offsets for them… but not both. But it also takes away the most exciting possibilities of team development. The new system does ensure a coach doesn’t just get lucky and run away with a league because they just rolled well on their first levels. How long does it take a Zombie to accrue 18 SPPs? And would you want to have a 120k value Zombie on your roster without even Block? Can you imagine spending 50 SPPs to get an 80% chance of a secondary skill for your sixth level up? Or ever wasting the SPPs on anything other than the best positionals on your team? You will literally NEVER see an AG or ST up lineman. No one has even tried.Īnd that’s a best case scenario where you are earning SPPs for a first level up on a player with good RNG chances to score TDs. As a result, our 12 player league hasn’t seen a single stat gain in the first 8 rounds of our league. It just feels like too steep a mountain to climb for too little a reward. AV or PA are almost certainly not worth the SPPs.)Īnd if I do, my player becomes 180k in cost, which gives my opponent almost an extra reroll or Apothecary in Inducements (or worse, a player like Fungus the Loon or Nobbla Blackwart.) (MA is an option for a Dark Elf Blitzer, but I’m not sure it would be more valuable than Guard or Mighty Blow. There’s another 6% chance that I could get AG, which would also be worthwhile, but the other 80% of the time, you basically just wasted 6 SPPs on selecting a secondary skill. Then I have to roll a 15+ on the D16, a 12.5% chance. That’s going to be at least probably three games and chew up a lot of your team development. Casualties and MVPs could speed that up but those are dependent on RNG. First I have to give him 18 SPPs: six touchdowns. Say, for instance, I want to get ST on a Dark Elf Blitzer. Add to that the fact that stat increases are the ONLY level up that you DON’T have full control of. It takes too long to save up the SPPs and ST and AG give too much in inducement value to your opponent. On the other hand, removal of the random element does make for less exciting players on your roster, and the changed TV pricing of stat increases has resulted in our local league ignoring them entirely. It minimizes the impact of bad luck and results in every team being competitive with other teams of the same roster. On one hand, I think it’s good that every coach can achieve the same results if they want to hoard their SPPs. What do you think? I'm determined to play them despite my awful win rate hahaįor me, the jury is still out on the new leveling system. Dauntless on the goblin bruisers - still very vulnerable to attack but now they can blitz and brawl with the Blorcs (seems like a complimentary skill to brawler on blorcs) Native Strong arm on the troll - make up for the slowness with slightly more reliable tossing What small tweaks would you make to make them feel as good as say normal orcs or lizards or humans?īrainstorming (there's no bad ideas in brainstorming don't POW me for these): However they are super unreliable, I often feel like I'm playing a stunty team more than a regular team and going by the stats they seem to have a below average winrate and could be considered something like 'C-tier'. Quite different from teams with strong positionals that do all the work plus supporting players (eg woodelves, skaven). I really love the concept of the Black Orcs, a brawling and fouling 'unit' that works together as a team to manipulate the brawl and move forward in contact.
